Amazon Web Services (AWS) introduced an API that will provide access to two artificial intelligence (AI) language models.
Generative AI models are already having a major impact on e-commerce by speeding up SEO and sales reporting and improving chatbots for customers.
- Amazon CEO Andy Jassy announced the release of "Bedrock," a new AWS initiative.
- The Bedrock service will provide access to AWS' own language models, known as Titan.
- It will also give users access to language models developed by startups AI21 and Anthropic.
- The new resources will allow AWS customers to improve their software with AI models that can generate text.
- The tech industry has been focused on generative AI since Microsoft-backed OpenAI released ChatGPT in November 2022.
