Hunter and Daniel Kablutsiak.  Canadian father Daniel Kablutsiak committed to a year-long weight-loss plan to support his son, Hunter.   Daniel lost 79 pounds so that he would be able to give Hunter one of his kidneys. 16-year-old Hunter was diagnosed with stage 5 kidney disease in 2020. Daniel said his son's treatment, which includes 10 pills a day, "drains his energy." Daniel was identified as a potential organ donor along with his other children, but his weight made him ineligible for the procedure. He started exercising and following a diet in order to qualify for the surgery.  After reaching his weight loss goal in March, Daniel met the requirements for the transplant surgery, which is scheduled to take place in June.
