Clinique plans to launch a digital storefront in the metaverse. 

The Estee Lauder company is the latest cosmetics brand to enter the metaverse as an e-commerce strategy, following Laura Mercier and Charlotte Tilbury.

  • Clinique’s metaverse experience will operate as a virtual storefront based on a photorealistic 3D environment.
  • It will offer a counter that provides visitors with access to six zones that they can explore as an avatar.
  • Customers will be able to browse and purchase products directly through the virtual store, where they will be able to receive exclusive offers.
  • The environment was developed by metaverse-as-a-service platform firm Journee, which blends e-commerce with gamification.
