Comcast recently debuted DataBee,
a cloud-native security, risk, and compliance data fabric that ingests
data from multiple feeds and unifies it into a single fabric to simplify
tasks such as monitoring, analyzing, and reporting security threats.
The
platform supports several use cases, including advanced threat
detection, threat hunting, continuous controls assurance, SIEM
decoupling, and behavioral analysis.
- DataBee
addresses issues large companies face regarding data management,
like high storage costs, an overwhelming quantity of data spanning
multiple sources, fragmented tools that hinder analysis, and increased
complexity.
- According to Comcast's website,
DataBee helps solve these issues by eliminating data silos, decoupling
storage, preventing vendor lock-in, leveraging faster threat-hunting
speeds, ensuring greater compliance, and providing user-friendly
analytical tools and dashboards.
- Comcast
claims its new offering enables a 30% reduction in SIEM data throughput
and spending, offers 85% more actionable reports, and can detect
threats 3X faster than similar solutions.
