D.C.-based ed-tech startup Class Technologies has acquired California-based cloud-managed services provider CoSo Cloud for an undisclosed sum.

This move is part of a strategy for Class Technologies to expand its support for learning and development among federal and corporate training markets.

  • Class Technologies offers “the next generation virtual classroom,” equipped with a slew of e-learning tools that can be integrated with Zoom.
  • According to the company website, e-learning tools range from enhanced breakout rooms, individual and shared instructional whiteboards, in-app proctoring, and a dashboard complete with detailed session analytics.
  • CoSo Cloud specializes in secure private-cloud managed services, custom software applications, and professional services for virtual meetings and online learning.
  • The acquisition enables Class Technologies to support distributed workforce development and training programs with government and federal agencies by leveraging CoSo Cloud’s managed services expertise for highly regulated industries with stringent security and compliance requirements.
  • CoSo boasts a FedRAMP authorization and certifications for federal regulations such as HIPAA, HITRUST, GDPR, IPEDA, and more.
