D.C.-based ed-tech startup Class Technologies has acquired California-based cloud-managed services provider CoSo Cloud for an undisclosed sum.
 This
 move is part of a strategy for Class Technologies to expand its support
 for learning and development among federal and corporate training 
markets. 
  - Class
 Technologies offers “the next generation virtual classroom,” equipped 
with a slew of e-learning tools that can be integrated with Zoom. 
 - According to the company website,
 e-learning tools range from enhanced breakout rooms, individual and 
shared instructional whiteboards, in-app proctoring, and a dashboard 
complete with detailed session analytics. 
 - CoSo Cloud specializes
 in secure private-cloud managed services, custom software applications,
 and professional services for virtual meetings and online learning. 
 - The
 acquisition enables Class Technologies to support distributed workforce
 development and training programs with government and federal agencies 
by leveraging CoSo Cloud’s managed services expertise for highly 
regulated industries with stringent security and compliance 
requirements.
 - CoSo boasts a FedRAMP authorization and certifications for federal regulations such as HIPAA, HITRUST, GDPR, IPEDA, and more.
