Volumez, a U.S. and Israel-based company with a cloud volume orchestrator platform, has raised  $20M in a Series A funding round led by Koch Disruptive Technologies.

 The company claims its platform drives cost, complexity, and risk out of modern cloud data infrastructure. 

  • Volumez was founded in 2020 and has headquarters in Boston and Tel Aviv. 
  • The company’s platform purports to turn public and private clouds into one easily managed data infrastructure by abstracting the complexity of data path orchestration while optimizing resource utilization. 
  • According to the company website, Volumez provides SaaS composable data infrastructure that enables application deployments in a user’s cloud with precise control of IO characteristics by leveraging a fully declarative interface. 
  • The company plans to use its fresh funds to grow its customer base, support R&D efforts in Israel, and expand its business reach throughout the U.S.
