Google Cloud and The Celo Foundation are collaborating to provide workshops and cloud computing services to enable developers and Web3 founders to build and scale their applications on the Celo blockchain.
The
Celo Foundation touts itself as a carbon-negative, mobile-first,
EVM-compatible blockchain ecosystem that aims to democratize Web3.
- The
partnership provides builders on Celo with Google Cloud credits and
access to Firebase, Google’s mobile development platform that assists
with building and enhancing existing apps and growing a user base.
- Through
the alliance, Google Cloud will mentor and guide participants in the
Celo Foundation’s Founders in Residence program and Celo Camp, an accelerator program for Blockchain projects.
- Xochitl
Cazador, the Celo Foundation’s head of ecosystem growth, stated that
“Google Cloud’s core team will also support the Celo Foundation through
joint hackathons, workshops, and events centered on the intersection of
Web3 and sustainability.”
