Google has expanded its Google for Startups Cloud Program to include Web3 firms.
This initiative provides Web3 projects and startups with access to the technology, community, and resources needed to build and scale their infrastructure.
Google Cloud has announced several Web3 startup program partners, including Alchemy, Aptos, Base, Celo, Flow, Nansen, Solana, and others.
- This expansion comes on the same day that blockchain analytics firm Nansen announced a partnership with Google Cloud to provide on-chain data and insights for startups.
- The new Web3 startup program has two program tiers: the Start tier, designated for pre-seed Web3 projects and startups, and the Scale tier for Web3 projects and startups with seed to series A funding.
- The Google for Startup Cloud Program benefits offers up to $2,000 or $100,000 in Google Cloud credits depending on program tier, valid for two years, access to Web3 events, AI webinars, content, the global Google Cloud Startup Community, and much more.
- Eligibility requirements state that startups in the Start tier must have been founded within the last five years and not received Google Cloud credits, while those in the Scale tier must have been founded within the last 10 years and not yet received more than $4,000 in Google Cloud credits.
