L.A.-based startup Bobsled has raised a $17M Series A funding round co-led by Greycroft and Madrona Venture Group, bringing its valuation to $87M.

Bobsled offers a cross-cloud data-sharing platform that facilitates data sharing between any data lake or warehouse.

Bobsled was founded in late 2021 by Jake Graham, a former principal product manager at Microsoft Azure.

  • Graham argues that data-sharing platforms should leverage ML analytics and data science to ensure companies can access the necessary data.
  • The company’s cross-cloud data-sharing platform enables users to select where they want to send data without having to manage accounts or build pipelines.
  • According to the company website, Bobsled is built on each platform’s sharing protocol to bring data providers the security and ease of modern data sharing while avoiding the complexity of multi-cloud management.
  • The company plans to use its fresh funds to build out its platform and add support for additional data sources.
