Kepler Communications has raised a $92M Series C funding round to expand its constellation satellite data network. 

 The company is collaborating with SpaceX to launch the satellites.

  • The company claims its new optical relay network will deliver data at 2.5 Gbps to satellites in low Earth orbit.
  • This funding round was led by IA Ventures, with participation from Costanoa Ventures, Canaan Partners, Tribe Capital, and BDC Capital’s Industrial Innovation Venture Fund. 
  • Since its inception, the company has raised $200M.
  • Kepler aims to use this funding to launch at least two more satellites.
  • The company is based in Toronto, Canada.
