Popular NFT marketplace Magic Eden has rolled out a creator launchpad for Ordinals NFTs on the Bitcoin network, nearly 20 days after launching a new marketplace for Bitcoin NFTs.
The
launchpad will help NFT creators inscribe their Bitcoin-based NFT
collections, simplifying the creation of new NFTs on the network.
- The NFT creators can already list and sell their Ordinals NFTs on Magic Eden.
- The
creators need to be familiar with specific processes like inscription
while minting an Ordinals NFT on Bitcoin, differently from creating a
digital asset on other blockchain networks such as Ethereum and Solana.
- Magic Eden’s new launchpad aims to onboard new creators to the network by facilitating these processes.
- The
popular NFT marketplace has collaborated with the NFT collection
Godjira to release a Bitcoin-based collection, (Dead) Jira, at the
launch.
- The
creators who will mint their Bitcoin-based NFTs through the new
launchpad within the next week include Genopets, Lazy Lions, Humanoids,
and rapper Lil Durk.
- Ordinals are digital assets permanently attached to a satoshi, or 1/100,000,000 of a full Bitcoin (BTC).
- Last month, Magic Eden also launched a new fully audited NFT marketplace to allow NFT traders to buy and sell their Bitcoin-based Ordinals NFTs.
- At
the time, the platform revealed its plans to integrate features that
would simplify the minting and inscription process for creators into the
platform.
