Metaverse to reach $80B

 

According to its Tech Trends 2023 report, Deloitte Insights predicts the metaverse will be an $80B market by 2024.   Virtual interfaces are transitioning from technology toys into technology tools, and new business models are following closely behind. The NAB Show tackles the metaverse issue with sessions, roundtable discussions, and exhibitor displays. Creative uses of the metaverse could include scented packs connected to VR headsets, AI-powered AR shopping experiences, and interactive haptic gloves. Sinclair Broadcast Group and Deloitte plan to launch a new metaverse sports fan community driven by a 3D creation tool. Experts suggest that those interested in the metaverse start with strategy, whether the goal is to develop new revenue streams or improve production operations. Although there are challenges, the industry looks ready to take strides toward delivering deeply immersive entertainment.
