Ongoing violence in Sudan has killed at least 185 people and injured over 1,800.   Armed factions are deploying heavy weapons amid a power struggle between the country's two top generals.  Sudan's army is fighting with a paramilitary group known as the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). The two factions are deploying tanks, artillery, and fighter jets in areas with dense civilian populations. Millions of people remain trapped in locations where they found shelter and some hospitals have been forced to close. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken confirmed on Tuesday that a U.S. diplomatic convoy was attacked in Sudan and has called for a 24-hour ceasefire. The violence stems from a power struggle between General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, who is Sudan's de factor ruler and commands the army, and his deputy leader, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, who controls the RSF. Egypt, which supports Sudan's military, has called for an end to hostilities along with the United Arab Emirates, which has close relations with the RSF.
