Orbit Fab has raised a $28.5M Series A funding round to build a network of refueling stations in space. 

The company has signed contracts worth $21M with the Department of Defense.

  • Orbit Fab plans to complete four launches in the upcoming three years, most of which will be for the Department of Defense.
  • 8090 Industries led the funding round, with participation from Lockheed Martin Ventures, Stride Capital, Industrious Ventures, Tribe Capital, Good Growth Capital, and Massive Capital Partners.
  • The company plans to use this funding to develop on-orbit fuel tanks, which can be used to fuel space-orbiting vehicles, similar to how cars get fuel in gas stations.
  • Orbit Fab is based in Lafayette, Colorado.
