Orbit Fab has raised a $28.5M Series A funding round to build a network of refueling stations in space.  The company has signed contracts worth $21M with the Department of Defense. Orbit Fab plans to complete four launches in the upcoming three years, most of which will be for the Department of Defense. 8090 Industries led the funding round, with participation from Lockheed Martin Ventures, Stride Capital, Industrious Ventures, Tribe Capital, Good Growth Capital, and Massive Capital Partners. The company plans to use this funding to develop on-orbit fuel tanks, which can be used to fuel space-orbiting vehicles, similar to how cars get fuel in gas stations. Orbit Fab is based in Lafayette, Colorado.
