Singaporean edtech startup Higgz Academia Technology Pte is in talks with potential investors to raise fresh funding at a $100M valuation.

  According to reports, Higgz aims for a fundraising round equivalent to the $20M from two years ago. Higgz will use the proceeds to roll out subscription services and expand into STEM subjects by 2024. 

  • Matrix Partners and Qiming Venture Partners provided the $20M funding two years ago. 
  • Higgz's TutorEva platform leverages AI to provide step-by-step solutions to math problems. 
  • The platform uses computer vision to identify math problems from scanned photos. 
  • The firm is looking to capitalize on the hype surrounding generative AI tools, such as OpenAI's ChatGPT, as it incorporates the chatbot into its TutorEva platform by next month. 
    • With ChatGPT-4, the platform will be able to provide human-like responses to problems.
