U.S. college student Sydney Abel is set to graduate from Arizona State University with four degrees.
Her
remarkable accomplishment comes despite being diagnosed with a rare
nerve disorder that causes her to pass out several times a day.
- Abel first passed out during her first college class and has since continued to lose consciousness up to 15 times a day.
- She was diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, a rare autonomic nerve disorder.
- Despite her diagnosis, Abel is set to graduate in May with a 4.13 GPA.
- She will receive four degrees in Business Law, Business Entrepreneurship, Sports Business, and Art.
- “I didn’t want to give up on my dreams because my body wasn’t as able as it could be,” said Abel.
