U.S. software and services company

U.S. software and services company Palantir shared on April 5 that its Federal Cloud Service has achieved FedRAMP authorization and accreditation.

The FedRAMP authorization indicates that the Palantir Federal Cloud Service meets government-wide standards for security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring of cloud products and services.

  • The Palantir Federal Cloud Service has been designated to support workloads at the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Impact Levels (ILs) 4 and 5 on Microsoft Azure.
  • Palantir has expanded its partnership with Microsoft to provide U.S. public sector customers with access to Palantir and Microsoft’s secure, integrated, enterprise-grade capabilities offered on Microsoft Azure Government and Azure Commercial environments.
  • According to its website, Palantir has been a long-standing data analysis and visualization tool provider for several U.S. government agencies, including the CIA, the FBI, and the National Security Agency.
  • Palantir and Microsoft are seeking authorization to support IL 6, the highest level of security clearance, through multi-cloud service integration.
