A former Tubi executive filed a lawsuit against the Fox-owned ad-supported streaming service, accusing the company of gender discrimination and a "poisonous corporate culture.
" In the class-action suit, Tubi's former chief people officer Sarah Ekstrom claims that women executiv
es are paid 28% less than their male counterparts and that she was fired after voicing concerns about the company's "toxic culture" and unfair treatment of women.
- Ekstrom says she was met with "hostile and discriminatory" reactions when reporting incidents of misogyny or inappropriate behavior.
- A spokesperson for Tubi called Ekstrom's complaints "meritless."
- Fox News has also been hit with a number of lawsuits alleging workplace harassment and discrimination; one case, involving complaints about former Fox News anchor Ed Henry, remains ongoing.
