According to TVLine, Peacock doesn't plan to renew the sci-fi comedy-drama series "Mrs. Davis" for a second season.
The show was originally submtited for Emmys as a comedy series, but will now compete as a limited series instead.
- Though the Season 1 finale -- which debuted last week -- concludes the show's main storyline, it does leave a potential opening for more seasons.
- Nonetheless, an unnamed Peacock rep told TVLine that the streamer doesn't plan to bring the show back for additional episodes.
- Betty Gilpin stars as Simone, a nun who's engaged in an existential fight against a powerful artificial intelligence.
- Tara Hernandez ("Young Sheldon," "The Big Bang Theory") co-created and executive produced the show alongside "Watchmen" and "The Leftovers" vet Damon Lindelof.
