BDC Capital has closed a $150M fund to invest in sustainability startups.
The company has over $6B under management.
- BDC Capital is the investment arm of BDC, Canada’s business development bank.
- The company will invest in technologies in line with four key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals:
- sustainable communities and cities,
- responsible production and consumption,
- climate action,
- and clean and affordable energy.
- BDC
looks to find companies that have sustainability companies that have a
capital-light business model and mostly revolve around software.
- This funding comes after the company previously raised a $400M fund named Climate Tech Fund II.
