Chinese AR glasses maker Nreal has rebranded to Xreal as it expands into Europe and unveils new AR products.

Xreal sells its products in the U.S., U.K., China, Japan, and South Korea and plans to launch in European markets in Q3 2023.

  • Xreal offers two headset models: Xreal Air and Xreal Light.
    • Both run on its Nebula operating system, which allows developers to create Nebula apps for Nreal headsets.
  • The company announced a new device called Xreal Beam, which can connect to smartphones, gaming consoles, and PCs.
  • Xreal aims to increase its sales and seeks additional funding after raising $100M in 2021, with investors including Alibaba and Nio Capital.
  • Xreal believes competition will expand the market and attract more talent.

  • The AR device market, dominated by enterprise devices like Microsoft's HoloLens, has prompted higher-end devices to transition in order to serve the needs of the enterprise market.
