Germany's auto industry association wants post-Brexit tariff rules to be reassessed.  The powerful lobby group joins Stellantis in calling for the EU to intervene in a deal that the group says will harm Europe's EV industry. A post-Brexit trade deal imposes tariffs on EVs that are not primarily made in the EU and the U.K. 45% of the value of EVs sold in the EU must come from the U.K. or the EU by 2024 to avoid the tariffs.  EV batteries can comprise up to half the cost of a new vehicle, and Europe's battery industry is underdeveloped compared to its Asian competitors. Germany's auto industry association joined Britain and Stellantis in calling for EV tariffs to and from the U.K. to be reconsidered.
