JPMorgan develops AI investment adviser

JPMorgan Chase is reportedly developing a GPT-powered investment adviser.

The bank applied for a trademark for "IndexGPT," which would use AI-powered cloud software to analyze and choose financial securities for customers.

  • The system would use machine learning to provide personalized investment recommendations to clients.
  • In its trademark filing, JPMorgan said the IndexGPT would be powered by Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) models.
  • According to CNBC, it would analyze a wide range of data, including market trends, economic indicators, and client preferences, to offer tailored advice.
  • The bank's global tech chief, Lori Beer, recently said it is testing out "a number of use cases" for GPT technology.
