Most all-SaaS firms exposed to web-borne attacks

LayerX’s recent survey with over 150 chief information security officers (CISOs) has shown that 87% of the organizations with an all-SaaS environment experienced a browser-borne cyberattack over the past 12 months. Or Eshed, LayerX CEO, has pointed out that the browser is the key work interface in the modern environment.

Another concerning data related to the SaaS industry: SaaS security firm Wing Security’s recent report has revealed that 84% of companies had employees using an average of 3.5 SaaS applications breached within the last three months on average. The analysis of more than 550 companies has also shown that 20% of these users are people from outside, including freelancers, contractors, and agencies working with the company.

SCWorx, the U.S.-based hospital supply chain, has reached an agreement with a 400-bed hospital in New York to offer its SaaS-based data management solution. The SaaS service will help the non-profit healthcare organization accurately transfer data between the supply, clinical, and finance applications it uses.

Levitate, a U.S.-based SaaS support startup, raised $14M in a funding round led by Bull City Venture Partners to accelerate the growth of its platform, taking its total financing to $40M. The firm has also released an AI-powered assistant that helps clients write, rephrase, and edit emails and social media posts with the capability of translating content across ten languages.

Fintech company Scalable raised $3.9M in debt financing to help Brazilian SaaS startups achieve sustainable growth. Statistics portal Statista’s market insight forecasts that the Brazilian SaaS market will reach $3.17B by 2027 with a 15% annual growth rate, up from the estimated volume of $1.81B in 2023.

SaaS company Clockwork has launched a new platform dubbed Cloud Deluxe that aims to improve enterprises’ performance and efficiency using its clock synchronization service. Albert Greenberg, Uber’s vice president of platform engineering, stated that they are impressed by the trials of Clockwork’s solutions so far and exploring the new solution’s potential to help them build high-performance network infrastructure.
