Tinder owner Match Group Inc. said it will pull its dating apps and services out of Russia due to human rights concerns.
In its annual impact report yesterday, the company said its brands are now working to restrict access across Russia and plan to have completed their withdrawal by June 30.
- Match Group added that it is "committed to protecting human rights," without elaborating.
- In addition to Tinder, Match owns the dating brands Hinge, Match.com, OkCupid, PlentyOfFish, OurTime, and Meetic.
- Last year, many major companies exited Russia following its invasion of Ukraine, and Match's competitor, Bumble Inc., declared its intention to end its operations there in March last year.
- Match is expected to release its first-quarter earnings after market close today.
