Uber rolled out new features for its food delivery platform.

The customer-facing changes come as Uber continues expanding its robotic delivery operations.

  • Uber rolled out its third-party food delivery service, Uber Eats,  in 2015.
  • The platform's latest features include group grocery orders and shared shopping cart functionality.
  • Groups of users will be able to place recurring grocery orders, split bills, and set deadlines for adding products.
  • Uber will also enable parents and caretakers of 13- to 17-year-olds to supervise what their children order and how much they spend.

NOTE: Inside.com founder and CEO Jason Calacanis is an investor in Uber.
