A recent survey by Everee among 314 U.S.-based mortgage professionals revealed around one-third (32%) are considering leaving the industry in the next 12 months. 

56% of the professionals said the market uncertainty would impact their decision to stay or leave. 

According to the survey, 60% of mortgage professionals live paycheck to paycheck, causing financial stress and impacting productivity. 

  • 84.4% of the respondents believe getting paid faster would help them manage their finances effectively. 
  • Over 60% have to wait at least two weeks to receive their commissions, and 11.5% get them later than a month. 
  • Getting paid within one day is a key retention factor for loan officers, along with competitive pay and flexible work options.
