Both Disney+'s "Daredevil: Born Again

Both Disney+'s "Daredevil: Born Again" and Max's "The Penguin" will pause production until the close of the WGA strike.

Picketing writers in New York representing WGA East shut down both sets repeatedly throughout June, leading the studios to suspend and eventually halt the productions entirely.

The rebooted "Daredevil" series is around three months into an eight-month planned shoot; the show will run for 18 episodes on Disney+.

  • The eight-episode "Penguin" series from "The Batman" filmmaker Matt Reeves features Colin Farrell reprising his role as the iconic Gotham City villain.
  • Members of both The Teamsters and IATSE -- the union representing crew members and stagehands -- have refused to cross WGA picket lines.
