Comcast and Spectrum's new streaming player, the Xumo Box

 

Comcast and Spectrum's new streaming player, the Xumo Box, will be available for purchase in Walmart stores.  The new device is expected to go on sale later on this year. The Xumo is an updated version of Comcast's Flex streaming player; it's also the name of Comcast's free ad-supported streaming platform, which it acquired in 2020. A partnership with Spectrum will make the Xumo streamer and platform available to the company's cable TV subscribers. No word on pricing yet, but the device will serve as a rival to the Roku player and Amazon's Fire TV.
