According to internal data from Warner Bros. Discovery, 70% of HBO Max subscribers switched over to the new Max platform in its first week post-launch. WBD's president of global streaming, JB Perrette, told The Wall Street Journal that the transition is "exceeding expectations" in terms of hours viewed per subscriber and content consumed since launch. Max brings together content from the former HBO Max platform and Discovery+; it went live in the US on May 23.
