Salesforce Ventures plans to double the size of its generative AI fund to $500M just three months after its launch.

The fund, its largest to date, has initially invested in four AI-centric companies: Anthropic, Cohere, Hearth.AI, and You.com.

Since then, Salesforce Ventures has made additional investments in Humane, the developer of an AI-powered wearable assistant, and Tribble, a GTM automation platform that uses AI agents to optimize marketing assets.

  • The company's venture capital arm said it differentiates itself by prioritizing ethical AI technologies.
  • The fund is intended to shore up the startup ecosystem and support the development of "responsible" generative AI technologies.
  • The VC arm's prior investments have included Zoom, DocuSign, and Snowflake.
  • Salesforce is also launching the AI for Impact Accelerator, providing funding and support to organizations working on generative AI solutions for education, workforce, and climate challenges.
