"Yellowjackets" S2 bonus episode

 

According to co-showrunner Ashley Lyle, a bonus episode of "Yellowjackets" will fill in some gaps between the just-ended Season 2 and the upcoming third season.  No word yet on when Showtime plans to release the supplemental content. Showtime had originally announced in December that actor Jason Ritter -- the real-life husband of "Yellowjackets" co-star Melanie Lynskey -- was joining the cast, but he didn't appear in Season 2. It's considered likely that Ritter's character will finally debut in the bonus episode. "Yellowjackets" centers on a girls high school soccer team in the 1990s that gets stranded in the remote Canadian wilderness en route to a tournament; the action cuts between their ordeal and its impact on their adult lives in the present.
