Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has introduced an Advanced Certification in Web 3.0, Social Media, and Metaverse.  This six-month program delves into the intersection of these influential technologies, highlighting the transformative nature of Web3, the empowerment of social interactions via social media, and the immersive experiences the metaverse offers. The program offers 100 hours of curriculum activities mentored by IIT Delhi's top faculty. Live sessions are delivered Direct-to-Device (D2D) over six months, including a campus immersion component. The curriculum covers e-commerce website development, integration with social media analytics, and digital marketing tools. It's tailored for graduates aiming for Web3, social media, or metaverse careers and IT professionals seeking expertise in these areas. Professor Arpan Kumar Kar emphasized the importance of Web3 knowledge for understanding the Internet's future and the role of social media in communication. In July 2022, the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business announced the launching of a "Business in the Metaverse" certificate program.
