The UN's AI for Good Global Summit, held today and Friday, gathers the world's largest assembly of humanoid and other robots.

 The Geneva-based event brings together 3,000 experts from leading companies, universities, and organizations to showcase positive AI applications and robotics. With 51 featured robots at the event, here are a few noteworthy highlights:

  • Ai-da, a contemporary and ultra-realistic humanoid artist designed by Aidan Meller.
  • Grace, a healthcare nursing assistant developed by Hanson Robotics and SingularityNET.
  • Nadine, a social robot designed for companionship and conversation, which can simulate emotions, recall individuals, and provide real-time answers to questions.
  • Sophia, built by Hanson Robotics, the UNDP's first robot Innovation Ambassador, who has made appearances on TV shows like the Tonight Show and Good Morning Britain.
  • Desdemona, a purple-haired AI robot singer that performs with the Jam Galaxy Band.
