This year's Venice Film Festival line-up includes three Netflix premieres. David Fincher's "The Killer," Bradley Cooper's Leonard Bernstein biopic "Maestro," and Pablo Larrain's "El Conde" will all compete for the Italian festival's prestigious Golden Lion award. "Whiplash" and "Babylon" filmmaker Damien Chazelle will lead this year's jury. - Wes Anderson will screen his Netflix short film "The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar" out of competition at the festival; this is Anderson's first-ever collaboration with Netflix.
- Other high profile films screening at the fest include "Origin" from filmmaker Ava DuVernay; Sofia Coppola's Priscilla Presley biopic; Michael Mann's "Ferrari," starring Adam Driver as Enzo Ferrari; and Yorgos Lanthimos' sci-fi romance "Poor Things."
