During a panel at this weekend's San Diego Comic-Con, "Rick & Morty" producers discussed moving forward without original creator Justin Roiland.

Roiland, who co-created the series with Dan Harmon, also voiced both lead characters; he was dismissed from the series following felony domestic abuse charges which have since been dismissed.

Executive producer Steve Levy assured fans that the show was "as good as it's ever been" and would feature "the same characters - no change."

  • Producers are looking for "soundalike" voices who will replicate Roiland's performances.
  • Adult Swim ordered 70 episodes of "Rick & Morty" in 2018, locking the show in through Season 10.
  • Harmon didn't attend the SDCC panel due to the ongoing writers strike.
  • The Orange County District Attorney's Office had charged Roiland with felony domestic abuse before dismissing the case in March.
  • Hulu also posted a trailer for the new fourth season of "Solar Opposites"; Dan Stevens replaces Roiland, who previously voiced lead character Korvo.
