Production on Season 2 of Apple's "Silo" shut down this week due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

The series had planned to take a temporary break as the crew cycled between sets, but will instead go on indefinite hiatus.

The series has been shooting at Hoddesdon Studios in Hertfordshire, in the UK.

  • Rebecca Ferguson and Tim Robbins co-star in the series, which is based on dystopian sci-fi novels by author Hugh Howey.
  • According to Apple, "Silo" is currently its #1 most popular drama series.
  • Season 3 of Apple's epic sci-fi drama "Foundation" is also apparently being impacted by the strikes; that show is produced in Prague, Czech Republic.
