Gigil, a creative agency based in the Philippines, is opening new offices in North America as part of its expansion.
The agency was named the International Small Agency of the Year in 2021 by Ad Age and has already worked with RC Cola, 7-Eleven, and Netflix.
- The brand is five years old, but its success in the Philippines and business with major American brands has allowed it to expand globally.
- The new offices will be opened in Toronto, New York, and Los Angeles.
- The Toronto office will house a metaverse division called Metama, which will focus specifically on Web3 companies and opportunities.
- The two U.S. offices will be managed by their U.S.-based partners Jessy Daing and JV Vanilo in partnership with their art director Jesse Castro.
- The Toronto office will be managed by Rain Pengson, who is from the Philippines but now lives in Canada.
