Grupo Coppel, the largest department store chain in Mexico, will launch a mobile wallet app for Mexicans living in the U.S.
The app will allow users to transfer money between Mexico and the U.S.
- Consumers in Mexico will be able to collect wire transfers from the company's 1,250 branches.
- Similarly, Walmart relaunched its Walmart2Walmart money transfer program in Mexico.
- The company claims that by charging as little as $2.50 per transaction, it offers fees 50% lower than competitors.
- The service was paused from 2018 until recently while Walmart worked on the product's infrastructure.
