New Hampshire-based grocery retailer C&S has signed a 7-year agreement with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to complete its cloud migration to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

This partnership will allow C&S to leverage Google Cloud's advanced analytics, associated data lakehouses, and AI-driven supply chain forecasting.

  • C&S opted to migrate its workloads to the cloud to achieve scalability in terms of speed, resources, and skills.
  • The company's CIO, Sudhakar Lingineni, asserts that the cloud partnership is "the only way to step up and compete in a changing industry."
  • C&S is using Google's BigQuery serverless data warehouse to modernize its data and upgrade its technology. This enables the company to incorporate prescriptive and predictive analytics for the enhanced supply chain management.
  • The partnership also provides the grocery retailer with edge computing and computer vision technologies to accelerate decision-making about product selections, allocation, and protection.
  • Lingineni says that moving to the cloud is also an integral part of C&S's sustainability strategy that will reduce the company's CO2 emissions.
