New Hampshire-based grocery retailer C&S has signed a 7-year agreement with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to complete its cloud migration to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).  This partnership will allow C&S to leverage Google Cloud's advanced analytics, associated data lakehouses, and AI-driven supply chain forecasting. C&S opted to migrate its workloads to the cloud to achieve scalability in terms of speed, resources, and skills. The company's CIO, Sudhakar Lingineni, asserts that the cloud partnership is "the only way to step up and compete in a changing industry."  C&S is using Google's BigQuery serverless data warehouse to modernize its data and upgrade its technology. This enables the company to incorporate prescriptive and predictive analytics for the enhanced supply chain management.  The partnership also provides the grocery retailer with edge computing and computer vision technologies to accelerate decision-making about product selections, allocation, and protection.  Lingineni says that moving to the cloud is also an integral part of C&S's sustainability strategy that will reduce the company's CO2 emissions.
