Oracle announced newly added capabilities to its Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SCM) suite.
The updates purport to lower costs, automate compliance, and improve accuracy and logistics flexibility.
More:
- The SCM interface has been updated using Oracle’s JavaScript Extension Toolkit (JET), which its developers use to build interfaces for enterprise applications. This will make it so that mobile apps won’t be subject to certification in app stores.
- An automated trade agreement qualification feature has been added to SCM to authenticate certificates of origin which reduces tariffs and facilitates company entry into new markets.
- New compliance capabilities enable Oracle’s software to analyze bills of materials (BOM), to ensure that products adhere to trade agreements and that manufacturing practices comply with labor regulations.
- Oracle has also launched the Transportation Management mobile app to effectively manage transportation activity within a global supply chain.
- These new features have been added to Oracle’s SCM suite at no additional cost.
