A class-action lawsuit was filed on Monday against Signature Bank for its involvement with FTX and allegedly helping it.

Signature Bank, a crypto-friendly bank, is a real estate lender in the New York area.

  • In the lawsuit, algorithm trading company Statistica Capital claimed Signature Bank had actual knowledge of and substantially facilitated the FTX fraud.
  • Statistica Capital claims it advised the bank that payments on Signet meant for FTX were transferred to Alameda Research.
    • Signet is Signature Bank's digital payment platform that allows customers to deposit cash in exchange for tokens.
  • Signature Bank told investors that deposits linked to FTX amounted to less than 0.1% of the overall deposits.
