British venture capital firm Notion Capital is targeting $300M in capital commitments from limited partners for its fifth fund, per Business Insider.

The firm intends to hold the final close of the fund in March. Sources close to the matter informed Business Insider that the firm has already raised $200M for the fund.

  • If successful in raising the targeted amount, the fund would be the firm's largest to date yet, almost twice the size of its third $140M fund
  • The firm filed documents for the fifth fund in February 2022 in Luxembourg.
  • Some LPs reduced their initial commitments due to the volatile economic conditions, with several EU state funds stepping in to fill the gap.
  • Notion typically invests in enterprise software startups across Europe.
  • The firm primarily invests in the early stages up to Series A rounds.
  • Notion's portfolio companies include Currencycloud — acquired by Visa for $925M — and GoCardless, last valued at $2.1B.
