Aviation data and analytics platform Portside secured $50M in Series B funding led by Insight Partners.  Portside intends to use the proceeds to accelerate software development, develop new products, increase the customer base, and expand team size.  Portside's platform allows aviation business owners, banks, and insurance providers to access information about aircraft routes, crew schedules, maintenance, and the company's financial data.  GetGoing founders Alek Vernitsky and Alek Strygin co-founded Portside. BCD Travel acquired GetGoing in 2016.  The funding round brings the firm's total capital raised to date to over $70M.  Tiger Global led the firm's $17M venture round in March 2021.  Portside's platform manages over 10,000 aircraft for 1,000 private, business, and government operators across 30 nations.  The firm reportedly grew 3x over the past few years.
