Episode 4 of HBO's "The Last of Us" set another Sunday viewership record for the post-apocalyptic series, with 7.5 million viewers across cable and streaming.

That's a 7.4% increase from Episode 3's Sunday viewership, which hit 6.4 million, despite direct competition from the Grammy Awards.

  • Episode 3 of "The Last of Us" also debuted against heavy competition: the NFL's AFC Championship game.
  • Episode 4's viewership jumped 60% over the same-day numbers from January's series premiere.
  • HBO plans to debut Episode 5 this Friday, rather than Sunday, to avoid competition from the Super Bowl.
