Many Amazon employees have expressed opposition to Amazon's new return-to-office policy.
A slack channel formed by disgruntled workers amassed 16,000 members days after CEO Andy Jassy announced that employees would need to return to the office for at least three days a week starting May 1.
The decision reversed a more flexible working policy adopted after the outbreak of COVID-19.
- Workers opposing the move have drafted an internal petition urging Jassy to reconsider the decision.
- Employees have begun putting the phrase "Remote Advocacy" in their Slack status to signal their support for the petition, which received over 5,000 signatures by Tuesday night.
