Meta announced it completed the acquisition of Within, the maker of the VR fitness subscription app Supernatural.  The intent to purchase was initially announced in October 2021. Supernatural, one of the first subscription-based fitness apps on Oculus Quest, offered motion-tracked workout routines. In October, Meta's VP of Play, Jason Rubin, commented that the companies would explore ways to enhance future hardware to support fitness apps. Last year, the FTC filed charges to halt the acquisition and stop Meta from building a VR empire. Meta received the approval for the acquisition last week. Meta did not disclose the financial details of the acquisition.
