The Reyes Beverage Group’s Northern California subsidiary, Golden Brands, has acquired rights to the Constellation Brands and Sierra Nevada portfolios from Markstein Beverage Co.
The deal with the Sacramento-based 104-year-old wholesaler involves 6M cases, Beer Marketer’s Insights reported.
- More than half of the beer sold in California reportedly goes via the Reyes network.
- Marksteins’s portfolio includes Anheuser-Busch InBev, Alaskan, Firestone Walker, and Ballast Point.
- In 2018, Constellation Brands ended the wholesaler associations with Markstein Beverage Co.
- In 2021, Sierra Nevada terminated the San Francisco-based Matagrano Inc. to move its rights to Golden Brands.
