Insider reports that Salesforce is implementing new stricter performance metrics for engineering teams and salespeople.
The increase in performance expectations comes after Third Point LLC became the fifth activist investor to own a stake in Salesforce.

is offering employees the option to choose between a 30-day performance
improvement plan (PIP) or a severance option, dubbed Prompt Exit
Package (PEP).
- Employees choosing PEP will receive two months of severance, which is less than their colleagues who recently were laid off.
