Showtime layoffs

Showtime's "Billions"

Showtime laid off 120 staffers on Monday as it prepares to integrate with Paramount+. According to Variety, the cuts equal around 25% of the premium cable network's total workforce.

  • Showtime co-presidents Gary Levine and Jana Winograde will both exit their posts; Winograde plans to exit Paramount Global entirely, while Levine will shift to an advisory role.
  • A number of other top Showtime executives also plan to depart, including Paramount Global Premium Group CFO Michael Crotty; SVP of docs and unscripted Vinnie Malhotra; EVP of content acquisition Kent Sevener; and creative director of originals for Paramount International, Rob Rosenberg.
  • The joint SkyShowtime platform completes its rollout this month across Europe, with launches in Spain and Andorra; it will keep the name SkyShowtime for now.
